Privacy Policy

Last updated October 1, 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use repurpose.studio (the website) and app.repurpose.studio (the app), what we do with it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Repurpose Studio is run by RepurposeYourContent, a Cloud Present company. We are the controller of your personal data. For anything about privacy, email legal@repurposeyourcontent.com.

What we collect

When you visit the website

  • Pages you visit, the link or ad that brought you here, your device, browser and rough location (country and city, worked out from your IP address).
  • With your consent where required: analytics and advertising cookies. See the Cookie Policy.

When you sign up

  • Your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email and profile photo from Google.
  • How you found us: the ad, link or campaign, the page you landed on, and your rough location at sign-up.

When you use the app

  • The YouTube links you give us and the episodes we download from them, or the recordings you upload.
  • Transcripts of those episodes, which include the words and names of you and your guests.
  • Your brand settings: logo, colours, fonts, your website address, your audience and goals.
  • The carousels we make, your edits, and your downloads.
  • If you connect Instagram or Facebook: your account ID, username, account type, profile picture, and an access token that lets us post for you. We store the token encrypted.
  • Messages you send us.

When you pay

  • Our payment processor collects your card and billing details. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your plan, payments and credits.

Before you sign up

  • If you make a carousel before signing up, we store a random ID in a cookie so the carousel stays yours, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address to stop the free offer being abused.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your episodes or transcripts to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We use other companies to run parts of the Service. They process data only on our behalf, as we instruct, and under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Hosting, storage and databases, for the website, the app and your files.
  • Login and account security.
  • Payments.
  • Transcription, to turn episodes into text.
  • AI models, to find moments in transcripts, draft carousels, and read your website to suggest brand settings.
  • Video processing, to download and render episodes.
  • Email, for account and product emails.
  • Analytics and error reporting, including session recordings with typed text hidden.
  • Advertising measurement, through Meta. See below.
  • Instagram and Facebook, when you connect an account and ask us to post.

We also share data when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or with a buyer if the business is sold. We would tell you before your data became subject to a different policy.

Meta advertising. When you start checkout or pay, our server tells Meta, with your email address hashed, your IP address, browser and rough location. Meta uses this to match the event to its users and measure our ads. Under California law this counts as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out with Stop under Cookie preferences, or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser.

International transfers

Some of these companies are outside the UK and the EU, mostly in the United States. Where UK or EU data goes outside those areas, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the company is certified.

How long we keep it

  • Account details: while your account is open. After you delete it, we keep your name and email for as long as we need to handle billing questions and stop abuse of the free offer.
  • Episodes, transcripts, carousels, logos and fonts:
    • while you have a paid plan, until you delete them;
    • on the free plan, 30 days from when you made them (we email you before);
    • if you made a carousel before signing up and did not sign up, 24 hours;
    • deleted from storage when you delete your account.
  • Temporary video downloads: deleted as soon as processing finishes.
  • Instagram and Facebook tokens: deleted when you disconnect the account or delete your account.
  • Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Analytics: up to 24 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • send it to you or someone else in a common format;
  • stop or limit using it;
  • stop using it for direct marketing or ad measurement.

You can also withdraw consent at any time under Cookie preferences. You can delete your account yourself under Profile in the app.

To use any of these rights, email legal@repurposeyourcontent.com. We reply within one month. We will not treat you differently for using them.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or the data protection authority where you live.

California. You have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its sharing for advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer things about you.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Instagram and Facebook tokens are encrypted again on top of that. Only people who need access to run the Service have it. No system is completely secure, so if we have a breach that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Children

The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you or tell you in the app before it applies. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
